Russell made a walk-around video of the car, pointing out all damage. Paperwork was easy no hard sell for add-ons (Russell did ask for our Geico insurance card). We did not have to provide a credit card to book. Nevertheless, he honored the lower price for me. ![]() Turns out he hadn't updated his prices, and my rental period of 10/2-10/9 was under "fall" rates instead of "summer" rates (or whatever his distinction was). When I called to book over two months ago (I could not reserve the car online), the owner was puzzled about the rate I was seeing. ![]() Black Hills was less expensive, and what really sold me on renting from them was this customer service: After heeding the warnings on this forum about renting at the airport, we got quotes from Black Hills Rental Cars and Casey's. ![]()
